The Master Algorithm

Evolutionsries look to the the field of biology and the theory of evolution for the answer in creating the master algorithm. They believe that you can find the best algorithms by letting them evolve and essentially discarding the "weaker" ones as things progress.  It is essentially survival of the fittest but for algorithms.  In this video Tom Holland gives a TedX talk on the subject.  Tom was one of the leading minds in the field of computer science and his insights on the subject are enlightening.  Although Tom passed away in 2015 the mark he left on the field is undeniable.
